Korean art promoting the Seychelles

Upon invitation by the Seychellois consulate in Korea and the STB, ten renowned Korean artistes will be travelling to the Seychelles on the 21st of November.

An creative 5-days stay awaits the delegation of ten Korean artists. Organised by Dong Chang Jeong, the Honorary Consul of the Seychelles in Korea and the Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) this trip is designated to promote the destination through art.

In the aftermath of the visit, an exposition of their works will be organised at the Alliance Française Seychelles between the 25th of November and the 23rd of December. The official opening will take place this coming 25 th of November.

Stephanie Lablache has been appointed for the post of the STB’s marketing coordinator for South Korea and other emerging markets.
During their stay, the artists will be taken to a tour of capital Victoria and various tourist attractions on Mahé, Praslin and la Digue. Throughout their stay, they will draw sketches, take pictures and film videos of the sites they see. Once back home, they will then realise their own projects with the gathered materials.

So ultimately, their trip will lead to an exposition of their works in principal cities of Korea such as Seoul and Daejeon. The Korean public may hence discover or rediscover the different facets of the Seychelles. A book about the event is also in the pipelines.

This is certainly an efficient way of attracting particular clients to the Seychellois archipelago, one of the most exclusive holiday destinations.
